| Elaboration : Our oenologists have combined the grapes used in the production of the classic Cordón Negro with a touch of Chardonnay to achieve a more intense wine and thus balance the effect of ice.

| Tasting Notes: Fine and elegant bubbles combined with aromas of peach, ripe pear, flowers and a hint of tropical fruit. While on the palate it is creamy and sweet with a long finish.

| Pairing: Freixenet Ice is a cava with an assemblage created especially to be drunk with ice and become a perfect mixer for cocktails.

| About the winery :

Our home is Penedès, also known as the country of cava, which is just over half an hour from Barcelona. It is a privileged enclave, protected from the easterly winds by the Garraf massif and from the northern breezes by the steep Montserrat mountain range.

Thus, nature gives us fertile soil and many hours of sunshine in a visibly undulating landscape. Our sparkling wine emerges from this magnificent environment: cava.

It is a Protected Designation of Origin, in which only certain grape varieties can be used and follow the so-called “traditional method”, by which the wine undergoes a second fermentation in the bottle.

Finally, all of this takes place in our winery, in the Sant Sadurní d’Anoia wine region, where our grapes and those of 2,000 producer members arrive every year.
