Escudo Rojo Cabernet Sauvignon is a fine blend of traditional grape varieties grown. The Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere, Syrah and Cabernet Franc grapes are selected by a technical team and vinified in the Baron Philippe de Rothschild Maipo Chile bodega. Year after year, that subtle combination yields a round, complex and concentrated wine with attractively expressive fruit.

Tasting notes
Aspect: An attractive, dense, bright and deep ruby red.

Nose: Generous, complex and intense, the nose opens on intense blackberry, black cherry and wild strawberry aromas, going on to reveal blackberry fruit mingled with elegant toasted almond and roast coffee notes.

Palate: After a powerful, complex and generous attack, the richly smooth mid-palate reveals raspberry, blackberry and wild bilberry flavours underpinned by very mature tannins. The wine’s full aromatic complexity then comes to the fore on black fruit flavours, mingled with black pepper and coffee and enhanced by some slightly toasted notes. The powerful and stylish finish reveals all the character of the Chilean terroir, perfectly combining Cabernet elegance with the roundness and powerful flavours of Syrah and Carmenere.
